Dippy Dinner

Although I generally love to cook, sometimes I just don’t feel like spending time in the kitchen preparing sustenance. Tonight my dinner is dips and bread from the local market.

Sundried tomato

Rocket and feta cheese

Smoked salmon (actually from the supermarket)

I think it’s funny that in Germany, they call these “salat” (salad). I guess I can see the similarity with a potato or an egg salad. There are not so many dips available in the supermarkets here as in New Zealand, but the markets have plenty of delicious ones, often inspired by Turkish, North African and Middle Eastern flavours.
